30-1/2 WEEKS PREGO & so excited to meet our Baby girl Leighton soon! Next ultra sound tomorrow, can't wait to see her sweet face!

Room is decorated, still looking for that perfect something to go over her bed (art, name, something)...the one last thing I lack...

Mom and Dad are going to bed early and sleeping in late. I've started nesting and def. doing the STB mom stuff. sewing, crafting, making hair clips, organizing EVERYTHING under the moon. My sweet hubby is the best! Lov you Josh!

Time fly's before I realize ohh my blog...I should update that...so lets see: were having GIRL! Yay!...We have been preparing for her arrival, Josh got a promotion at work and travels more, and I'm just plum tired! Ha - there you go...sums up the past 2 months!

First shower is planned for the end of June, which I'm tickled about! So excited to start seeing her room come together with her little goodies! I feel so blessed to have such wonderful women surround me! Thank you Jesus!

Ahhh, the rest is simple, work, sleep, relax, read up on pregnancy and dream about meeting our sweet angel.

My sweet husband and I celebrated 2 full/busy years of marriage yesterday. We had a wonderful yummy dinner at Genghis Grill in College Station. Awww and such pretty flowers too!!! With busy jobs and a baby on the way we feel so blessed. I love you honey. I would still choose you today! Love - Me!

We had our first ultrasound a few weeks ago, and I must admit it was the day everything had froze over, ice on the roads and the yard was covered in snow...but yes, my sweet husband loaded me up in the car and drove 2 hours to our 1st ultrasound appointment. Mind you this drive normally takes 40 minutes...not this day 2 hours of driving 20-30 mph. but we finally got to the appt.

Being first time parents, we had 2 prayers, good heart beat and movement, at that moment nothing else mattered, our sweet baby looked healthy, happy, moving all over the place and was growing!

I got a really good deal on these letters at {Hobby Lobby} a few weeks ago. I attempted to paint them a rustic brown and the paint didn't stick. The letters have a little bit of texture and gold shimmer -I think this was my problem. Does anyone have any paint tips! I loved these letters - I wanted to put them in our master bedroom, any ideas???

So this chair was given to me, by my lovely granny with the instructions to make it my own!

However, I need help with Fabric, I don't even know where to begin!!! I love this chair, love projects and even have someone who will recover it...I just don't know where to begin on color, texture, brands, etc... By the way this chair is one of the most comfortable ones I have ever set in - so soft and cozy!

The majority of these coupons are Grocery Coupons. I have found lots of $1.00 coupons :)

For all you new mom's, mother-n-laws, sister's, aunts, etc... You can always go to the baby websites and sign up for free e-mails and mail offers. These offers are GREAT. Randomly, I'll get free diapers in the mail, formula, LOTS OF COUPONS for wipes, swimmers, diapers, etc. There are usually $3.00-5.00 diaper coupons off.

*I don't have children, but I love buying things for my sister-n-law that has a 3 month old. This all started for me, when I was going to one of her showers and had some random Huggies coupon for $5.00 off diapers (received it in my e-mail). I hadn't planned on buying diapers as part of my gift, but with the coupon I ended up paying less than $4.00 for a big package of diapers!!! I thought that was a bargain!

We joined in marriage on April 4th - it was one of the most remarkable day of my life. It's amazing how the Lord leads you to your mate and allows you to have no doubts about where you are in life. If you right with the lord, life is so sweet! I love you my dear husband...Love, M

We embarked on a 3 day extravaganza before the wedding. With family arriving from out of state, family dinners, visiting, camaraderie, laughter, lots of love, hugs and kisses...it was wonderful! Then "our wedding day" came and it was out of a fairy tale, every candle was lit, guest seated, sun setting, the cannon d playing in the background...the preacher looking at us asking the most important questions of our life, and then we became united as husband and wife. We then traveled to Whistler, British Columbia, Canada for a 6 day honeymoon, that was better than any trip we had ever taken...The villages, snow, late night fires, hot chocolate, ski slopes, LOTS OF LOVE, and more laughter...Josh I had the best time of "our" lives...we'll always have Whistler!

A few pictures of the place where were getting married! Peaceful....

I haven't been the best blogger these past few weeks...life is busy, wedding planning is coming along and little with sleep! Just wanted to let you all know I am still here~ We did lay 3 pallets of grass this weekend at the ranch were getting married at, ahhh it looks GREAT! I worked every muscle in my body I didn't know I even had....we were so sore, but totally worth it! We hung some curtains this past weekend in our bedroom, finished our laundry room (that's connected to the new carport) and received a few little wedding gifts in the mail....I have attached a picture of our china, which we received ALL of. Love it...I hope you can see it! It has swirls all around the rim with silver trim.

Were down for the count....20 days to go until I'm Mrs. Josh Newman! I just love the sound of that! Just perfect, God's "WILL" will take you to wonderful places!

This time next month I will be Mrs. Josh Newman! Wooo hooo! I am getting so much more excited each day…you just have no idea! I wake up on cloud 9 every morning. It’s breath taking! The excitement of marrying my best friend and enjoying the rest of our lives together as one is, well there's not any words that come to mind....speechless!!! I love him so much!

I decided the tables for the wedding needed some color....As of now, the table scape includes clear glass vases w/white candles w/grapevine around the outer edge of the glass I thought the cards would be a cute dash of spring color in front of each place setting (glossy of course - hoping the candles will reflect the glossiness)!!! There about post card size!!!

February is here and were less than 2 months away for the wedding! Yeah!!! My mother went with me Saturday to do the final fitting for my wedding gown. It was such a blessing to have her share that moment with me. I really enjoyed our time together. We got up early and drove the Brenham...what a pretty drive that was...we enjoyed our Starbucks coffee and each others company. A wonderful mother-daughter morning, which I hope we have many more of. Sunday, I slept in a little - - missed church but I needed some sleep. I have gotten up early the past 21 days and just needed an extra hour or two to roll around in my cozy bed. I then enjoyed a cup of coffee in my adorable new coffee cups (bought a Ross for $2.99 each) - then got knee deep in addressing, stamping and stuffing our wedding invitations! By the way I now know they sell stamps at Kroger....no more post office lines for me. Yeah from Kroger!!! Then as no surprise my wonderful STB husband fixed dinner....he is such a blessing to me and I LOVE HIM! I know were going to have a wonderful life together. He is so good to me and I don't know what I would do without him!

We started our carport/washroom remodel this month too. Josh has done an excellent job on taking this task on. The old carport was torn down and demolished along with the old concrete. We had new concrete poured twice the size I might add. Were finally going to have some storage too and even our own work/craft tables. I can't wait to have my own crafting space....It's so needed...The contractors start this morning. I can't wait to go home at lunch and see what progress they have made! I will keep you all posted.

Engagement Pictures....today is the day! It's quite exciting for me...Were finally going to have some professional pictures taken. It seemed like this day would never come. For me, it's kind of like what do we wear, do we take props, do we take layers of clothing, etc...I am really EXCITED and Spanki Mills is going to be taking them this afternoon. Her work is TERRIFIC! I know what I have pictured in my head the pictures will look like but I am in hopes she will surprise me and go far and beyond the normal pictures. I don't want the average...me standing behind Josh and us just smiling. I really hope she captures the moments, smiles, laughter, etc...Which I have seen in all of her other pictures. There so neat! I know I have picked the right person for the job & the neat part is it's not even her job, she does it for the passion of photography! I will keep you all posted and hope to have some on my blog in the next few weeks.

My sweet stb mother and father-n-law recently moved to Arizona. We have just started having a hard time with them not being 15 minutes down the road...they have only been gone 2 weeks but it feels more like 2 months. It's AMAZING you don't know what you have until its not there anymore...There flying in this weekend and were ready. Miss you guys & love you so much!

Time flys and I don't know where it goes. Were 80 days out from the wedding and there is so much left too, but yet so much has been done. This past Friday I was nauseous to my stomach all day, I didn't like feeling that way. I couldn't wait to get home and just wrap my arms around Josh and be hugged by him. By hugging him I know things in life are okay. No matter how crazy things get one simple hug from him and nothing in the world seems to matter but him and I :)

We registered this past weekend. Wow...that was time consuming. Picking out China was like picking out that perfect pair of shoes to go with that one fun dress in your closet. Something you have to have, but will use seldom. I made a commitment to myself to keep 2 place settings of our china out everyday. As a new wife I am hoping that each Sunday when the 2 of us sit down for dinner we can use our very special and beautiful china. Something our kids will look back and say....my parents used this china every Sunday for Sunday Dinner. Good plan, huh! I'll let you know in a year how that turned out :)

Long Post....::2008 in Review:: The year started out as quite as it could until Spring rolled around~we spent most of our Spring days fishing at Port O'Conner and soaking up the sun. Some how we maneged to get in a trip to New Orleans...that was an adventure. Three short days was all I needed of Bourbon Street. Enough said. However, Josh and I re-connected and I fell in love all over again! By the time summer came around Josh spent most of the summer working in South Texas. To be exact he was gone all summer with only few return trips home. I missed him very much but enjoyed the weekends laying out by the pool listening to my new IPOD...the one he got me for Christmas :) Thank you sweetie! I got lots of great use out of it!!! Then to wrap up the summer, I went in for a message and as I was driving to town I saw this adorable "fixer upper house" - I had no idea I would be telling you today that that's our home. We spent the majority of July doing paper work for the bank and all that jazz...we then put an offer on the house in July and closed August 1, 2008. What a thrill that was to hear "they accepted your offer"!!! We became HOME OWNERS August 1, 2008 and started gutting the inside of our home that very day. We had the whole house painted, new counter tops, new floors, new carpet, new wood blinds, and ALL new fixtures! By Labor Day weekend we were moved in....and getting things cozy! We were finally able to RELAX! A few days into September - to be exact September 5 ~ Josh asked me to be his wife and share a life with him. Oh yes Ladies I said YES, I think I said it about 5 times...before I realized what was really happening. What a joy that was! I love this man to my soul and back. We have spent the last few months planning a wedding...and Josh has been hunting, of course as much as he can. You know men...they like to Hunt! Here we are almost at a new year. I wish you all a FABULOUS NEW YEAR! I will be spending it with my Fiancee'. It's exciting to think this time next year we'll be married :) Happy New Year & May the Lord Shine through you!

Crafty crafty crafty....

I made this over the weekend! I got a stick from out of the yard. A cheapy pot from Hobby Lobby. Moss from a tree. Fabric I already had...from another project. Rosemary is the only thing I had to buy! I also painted the pot brown & gold! 2 add a little warmth. I love fall, it gets me motivated to crafy and think completly outside the box!
